Can you share your inspiration for the interior design of the building?

Carla Guilhem: Thank you for having me. The inspiration behind Origin Residences came from the idea of blending Miami’s vibrant lifestyle with the elegance and sophistication of Artefacto’s signature style. We aimed to create luxurious yet comfortable living spaces that celebrate the beauty of Bay Harbor Islands and the waterfront views, incorporating sustainable solutions and timeless design elements.

How did you approach the design for this project, particularly considering the partnership with Artefacto and the unique setting of Bay Harbor Islands?

Carla Guilhem: I approached the design with a focus on creating harmony between the indoor and outdoor living spaces. We wanted to create seamless transitions that would allow residents to fully enjoy the breathtaking views and waterfront lifestyle. We also worked closely with Artefacto and Revuelta Architecture International to ensure that the design reflects the high-quality craftsmanship and sustainability that both brands are known for.

The Origin Residences project aims to evoke various sensations for its residents. Can you tell us more about these sensations and how they were incorporated into the design?

Carla Guilhem: Absolutely. Our goal was to create a sensory experience that would appeal to all the senses. Visually, we emphasized the stunning waterfront views, using floor-to-ceiling windows and open layouts that allow natural light to flood the spaces. We also curated a sophisticated color palette and incorporated rich textures and materials to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

In terms of touch, we selected comfortable, high-quality furnishings and finishes that provide a sense of luxury and durability. We also considered the acoustic aspect, ensuring that the residences provide a serene and peaceful environment for relaxation and tranquility.

Lastly, we aimed to create a sense of community and connection, with amenities like the private marina, boat slips, and direct access to the Atlantic Ocean, fostering a unique waterfront lifestyle that encourages social interaction and outdoor activities.
