We are honored to announce our latest collaboration with Van der Valk Shipyard on Project 111.11. Constructed in the Dutch shipyard, this 34-meter superyacht represents the epitome of customized luxury, seamlessly uniting the owner’s three-decade maritime experience with cutting-edge design elements.

Owner’s Vision and Conceptual Inspiration

The discerning owner of Project 111.11 sought to create a vessel that would not only win awards but also capture their unique vision for life at sea. Their comprehensive understanding of maritime living greatly influenced the decision to utilize the proven design of the award-winning Lady Lene. This efficient approach permits tremendous latitude for customization above the waterline, aligning perfectly with Carla Guilhem’s ethos that “Beauty can improve people’s lives.”

Design Development and Spatial Arrangement

The initial discussions resulted in a customized layout that prioritizes entertainment and comfort. The owners’ key requirements included five opulent staterooms, a full-beam master on the main deck, a sky lounge, a main deck salon, spacious crew quarters, and a multifunctional beach club/sports garage. The finalized design, thus, features a unique balance of intimate and communal spaces, constructed to entertain large gatherings in an elevated aesthetic environment.

Interior Aesthetics and Details

The owners initially leaned towards strong, hard lines but were captivated by our alternative concepts. With a “carte blanche” from the owners, Carla Guilhem Design envisioned an interior that ventures into the realms of the futuristic and the sublime. Inspired by celestial landscapes like the Moon and Mars, the interior incorporates super-smooth rounded shapes and monochrome palettes punctuated by neutral trims and frames. Design elements like oval-shaped windows, an elliptical chandelier, and imperfect geometric forms are intended to envelop the guests in an atmosphere that is both otherworldly and inviting.

Functional Elegance

The yacht’s interior is not just about aesthetic appeal; it’s a tribute to functional elegance. Attention has been paid to every detail, down to the specially-designed storage solutions hidden beneath sunbeds and sofas. This thoughtful use of space enhances the vessel’s self-sufficiency, allowing for extended periods at sea without the need for frequent port visits.

One of the interior’s standout features is an asymmetrical lounge on the bridge deck, which creates an extra beam to ensure a more fluid spatial experience. This arrangement facilitates a full-beam master suite on the main deck, complete with a spacious walk-in wardrobe and a dedicated private office. The office is designed to provide an authentic working environment, resonating with the owner’s need to stay onboard for extended periods.

The sophisticated interior of Project 111.11 symbolizes a harmonious confluence of the owner’s vision and our expertise in elevating the aesthetic experience of maritime living. The vessel, slated for delivery in Q3 2024, is indeed a masterpiece in the making. With utmost respect for design integrity and client desires, we look forward to presenting a final product that genuinely redefines superyacht interior design.
